Source: Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, real estate licence extract (REALESTATE2501LICENSE_1.csv), downloaded 30 September 2026 and 5 October 2026.

- Rows with licence type "SL Sales Associate" only. Brokers and broker sales associates are left out.
- Issue month is the original licence date.
- From the 30 September file we kept the count per issue month (all statuses) and the licence numbers with status "Current, Active". The raw file of that day was not kept.
- "Renewed": the licence is in the 5 October file with an expiry date in 2028. "Not renewed, still in the file": in the file with an expiry date in 2026. "Left the file": counted on 30 September, absent on 5 October.
- Split by status on 30 September: Florida issues licence numbers in sequence. The licences of the October 2024 to March 2025 group still on file run from SL3621263 to SL3632861 with no sales licence of another issue month in that range. A licence number that was active on 30 September, is absent on 5 October and lies in that range is counted as an active licence of the group that left the file (846). The other 1,302 that left were not active on 30 September.
- Older licences: sales licences issued outside October 2024 to March 2025, active on 30 September, in the 5 October file with expiry 30 September 2028 and status Current (43,284) or expiry 30 September 2026 (6,999). 41 more active numbers outside the group's range left the file and are not in this base.
- The file has no status for a void licence. That the licences left the file because of section 475.17(3)(c), Florida Statutes, is our reading of the timing and the issue months, not a field in the data.
