- OEWS counts wage and salary jobs and excludes the self-employed.
- electricians_per_lawyer = electricians_employed / lawyers_employed, rounded to two places.
- Contractor licences in the post (not in the CSVs): California CSLB list by classification, class C-10, status Clear, downloaded September 2026 (27,850); Washington L&I contractor file on data.wa.gov, type Electrical Contractor, active, updated 2026-09-15 (5,536). Both are business licences, not people.
